What are you talking about? Did you watch it all even? Hundreds of thousands of people come each year. I was there this year too. You're correct 100% in the thought that by not settling down, Turkic power was lost as various tribes were absorbed into other groups. But some of us did and here we are today. This is ancestors days, and the point is not to make everyone live in a yurt but to celebrate a common heritage. We are unconquerable so long as we remain alive and vibrant in our Turnic identity. Nation states merely supplement this.
If I was rich enough I would organize a trip for lots of people who have serious interests in it and rent yurts for us to camp in.
