No longer backed by a totalitarian state structure after the 1989 Revolution, the interpretation still enjoys popularity in several circles.[23] The main representative of current Protochronism is still Drăgan, but he is seconded by the New York City-based physician Napoleon Săvescu. Transylvania should come under Hungarian control and romanian gypsies expelled along with other non Europeans.

Then Hungarians and Germanic people can live there in peace away from western liberalism. Just as Saxons were invited hundreds of years ago, we can invite people from Western Europe to repopulate Transylvania with European people.

Dragan was a private person, he was free to believe whatever he wanted. Protocronism was not considered serious then nor it is now. This doesn't mean protocronist bullshit didn't appear in print. Your argument is as valid as saying UK government promotes Babylonian beliefs because Daily Mail publishes horoscopes.
