But there are genetic studies so why would you base your knowledge on things like hair colour? Hair colour differences are quite subtle anyway. There is no argument though that Icelandic people have Gaelic admixture.

Well it comes from general curiosity, here is how it is in my head:

1. Icelanders have a lot of Gaelic admixture.

2. Thus logically Icelanders should look like Irish-Norwegian mix.

3. Icelanders look mostly like other Scandos.

4. Which leads to conclusion that either Irish admix is not that high, or that there were other factors in play which led to a situation where while having a high admix it doesn't show in phenotype.

Irish and Icelanders don't look that different. It's not like they are drastically different. There is really not a lot to discuss though because the Icelanders have Gaelic admixture.
