Why does Turkey can't be regarded as such? It's geography, climate and such is more Med than Northern Italy, Spain or Portugal...
Your dividing between Greek/Turk it gives more political meaning to the term Med than the common things you've numbered above.

Italy-Spain-Greece-Croatia- Sout-French ect ect = Jesus...

So Albania is not in the club... It is too exotic.. too much islamic... no European culture and tradition over there

Byzantine was very med! East Med to be precise, Greece and coastal Turkey have huge med legacy.

Parts of Greece are maybe most med there is.

I heard from people who visited Macedonia is very med/southern!

And genetically you are much more south euro than we are.

I agree about that and I personally think that Croatia with it's geography, coastal area, architecture and many other things like music(my mother is a great fan of Oliver Dragojevic btw) etc. is a Med country.

But I somehow feel that the OP with his bombastic title and including only specific countries and regions, tried to connect himself only to those countries, which is not surprising about him...

Had he want to underline Dalmatia's Mediterranean character he could of done it without mentioning any of the countries he included in it...

Croatia is famous in the world for its "coasts" and mediterranean climate.. and "Venetian" city like Dubrovnik and Split and Zadar ect ect..
Nobody is interested in the internal region of North-east Croatia..

Coastal Montenegro and 20-30 km from the coast is Med. In inner Montenegro there is nothing Med.
