Do Southern Europeans look more like North Africans/Middle Easterners or Northern Europeans?

Nice cherry picking. A very exotic and darker than average group of Spaniards (if it is true that they are Spaniards), and a super pale individual representing northern Europeans like if they were all uniformly like that. I see everyday lots of people of British/German background here where I live, and they are very far to be all uniformly like Boris Johnson or Donald Trump.

Boris and Trump are both not good - looking anyway, but have the typical pasty complexion of Brits. I prefer a beautiful brunette - complected people like Penelope Cruz or Inma Cuesta over them any day.

That's a difficult question. Take Rajoy, the last Spanish prime minister, I'd wager he passes better in say Norway than in Morocco merely because he's white-skinned.

Now he's a bit lighter-pigmented than the average Spaniard who, I'd say, is about equally distant from the average Moroccan and from the average Northern European.

Rajoy is European, this is why he doesn’t pass as a North African.

Closer to Northern Europeans overall, but definitely closer to certain MENA groups such as Turks or the Lebanese than, say, Finns or Danes.

Stop portraying yourself as a European, you are not! You are an African, a Berber or whatever. You might be lighter than your average joe over in there in Africa, this doesn’t make you White or European. You guys have a different morphology beside the complexion. There are many North Africans immigrants in my country, I can tell from a mile that they are not Europeans at all. Why are you trying to pass as a European? Be proud of your origins, leave Europe to Europeans. You are a North African moor or nigger!

Southern Europeans are just Europeans like the rest of us. They just live in a more southerly region of our continent. We do have a few differences north vs south, we also a west vs east difference, as a northwest vs northeast or southeast vs southwest and so on. Central vs northern Euros also have differences, this doesn’t make them any less European, does it? I know that I can emphasize strongly the phenotypical differences between Europeans, because they are real. Nevertheless, this does not by any means make a Portuguese ( predominantly brunette population) any less European than an Englishman ( predominantly pale population). Europeans are not identical, but we are far alike than with non - European people. Here I am referring to ethnic European population, and not those of immigrant backgrounds.

I work and have worked with many Spaniards and Portuguese people and many times aside from their accent and Iberian look many I've witnessed looked stereotypically Northern European whilst most look Southern a significant minority could pass for MENA. So i say they look more Northern European than MENA if that answers your question.

I think it varies according to the individuals, but it makes sense that in terms of phenotypes they are between the two things (they are also between the two things geographically), but anyway, nobody wants to look like Boris Jonson.

Iberians aren't on average as pale as your pasty Trump-like or Boris-Like NW European prototype, but they aren't on average like Penelope Cruz (and let alone Inma Cuesta) either.

And tons of NW Europeans aren't as pasty/Nordic as Boris and Trump, but are fair brunettes or fair skinned dark blondes with an overall pigmentation that is nothing "out of this world" for southern European standards.

That's the problem with people like you, who over exaggerate the pigmentation differences between NW Europeans and southern Europeans like Iberians up to ridiculous extremes, when wrongly stereotyping most NW Euros as being supper pasty/Nordic as Trump and Boris and most Iberians and other Southern Euros as being like Penelope Cruz or Inma Cuesta, LOL

They look like neither. MENA features are very different from southern European ones. 99 percent of the time I can tell MENA apart from Southern Euros
