Even for me this is a silly thread. First of all, Johnson has Turkish, Jewish and American ancestry. Secondly, Southern Europeans certainly look closer to Northern Europeans (even Finns) than to Gulf Arabs and non-coastal North Africans. They also generally look closer to Brits, Germans and Dutch than to Iranians, Levantines and even many Turks. The only debate is if Southern Euros look closer to Scandinavians or to Eastern Turks/Iranians/Levantines.

I'd say while Spainards look pretty district from North Africans, yet they still have far more shared phenotypes (Trans Med, Gracile Med, Berid) types with North Africans than with any North East European. The percentage of North East Europeans who pass in Spain is less than 5% while up to a quarter of Berbers, Coastal North Africans still can fit as atypical in Spain. The case is different with Greeks and Italians who generally have less transitional types with North Africa but they have a lot more Trans Caucasian, East Med, Taurid, Cappadocian influenced types that fit well in West Asia, but I'd say even they look overall closer to East Europeans than to Gulf Arabs, the only exception is Cyprus.

That's a difficult question. Take Rajoy, the last Spanish prime minister, I'd wager he passes better in say Norway than in Morocco merely because he's white-skinned.

Now he's a bit lighter-pigmented than the average Spaniard who, I'd say, is about equally distant from the average Moroccan and from the average Northern European.
