Yes. If you dont have own real estate and have poorly paid job it is extremely hard to make ends met, or even to pay bills.

Children need more than just clothes and food- for example sport, going to school trips etc.

In Croatia many families cant afford to send their child to football team for example, or to school trip, fee is too much. Or they cant afford higher quality food for kids, not trash - because it cost 3 times more. Or they cant afford to pay extra lessons in for example maths, if child is doing bad in school - hour and half can often be 50 euros etc.

And these people are working. They deserve help otherwise birth rates will be even worse.

I said poor working families should get help, if their salary is too low to pay child expenses and many are. I clearly said unemployed familes need to have children taken from them.

So please dont misquote me.

People who do hard and honest job for low salary deserve finacial help for their family - they are not lazy and they contribute to the economy.

The father of one of those kids comes to pick him up at the cop shop leaps up and claims that he has been concerned about him (the kid is obviously unimpressed: "better late than never !") and the kid has obviously been there before so the detective kindly reminds him that the next time this kid is brought in, it will be sent into foster care. The father retorts that it will be over his dead body. The detective (quite unimpressed); "Better still ! You to the grave yard and your child into foster care. That will push things into the right direction".

That remark by the detective really sums up how I feel about such fathers...

Sometimes, it’s like that, but that’s what separates the wheat from the chaff. This is also what makes a man a man.

I look down on people who abandon their children or speak on it like children are just fodder to their own life’s pleasures.

If you’re already planning on abandoning your child and subvert this by talking about the state taking up parental responsibility, it’s not hard to see where this is going.
