The Holy Spirit. That is God's way... and that is how Jesus instructed us. Also, God has given in his church certain teachers, helpers, etc, as the Spirit empowers people. But we should always follow God's lead as the ultimate authority. A manmade church institution is not that. Most of those leaders have been appointed by man, not by God. If you think the Vatican is Gods authority on earth, then you are mistaken.

Yes, then we agree
Only thing is in these evil days we are living, there are so many churches that have gone astray, in certain areas it can be difficult to find a suitable one. But if you can, it is obviously more ideal. A church community is very important, in that every believer has a different gift from God, and together they can all edify and strengthen each other, as God intended.

I never really believed, that the choice of a denomination matters much for a christian, as long as we are not speaking about christan-derived sects with obscure teachings such as the mormons. The core beliefs of all the denominations are essentially the same - there is one God, who created the universe and humanity, humanity was sinful, so God sent his son Jesus to pay for our sins himself and in the order to be forgiven, one has to accept Jesus as his lord. This is what every catholic, protestant, orthodox and every other christian will acknowledge, and, when you think about it, this is pretty much everything christianity is about. Yes, there is a lot of variation throughout the beliefs of different denominations, but considering the big picture, the differences are rather irrelevant. So if I was a christian, I wouldn’t be concerned much about picking my denomination for community and church service. That would not mean, I would also automatically accept all their beliefs though, I would still interpret christian doctrine myself.

This is a big problem with religion; it's simply too open to interpretation and corruption. The status quo of political correctness is having its way with Christianity.

I am not the kind of guy, who would claim that without religion, people would get completely haywire and would rape each other on the streets. But it often seems to be the case, that without religion, people won’t simply adhere to more abstract principles and reduce morality to some simplistic liberal notion - something like ‘everything is ok, as long as no direct harm has been done’. I don’t claim that religion will always prevent immorality in the society, nor that it is a necessary thing for such prevention, but the correlation seems to be quite clear. Liberal thinking and atheism are indeed related.

Oh! UGH! Just....I had to pause that often, because every single one of those people were making my damn blood boil. I almost unironically want a theocracy. Where do they get off, harrassing a man just exercising his freedom of speech by spreading the gospel? Just plain talking. Don't you have other shops to go to? Why hover over someone like a fly over a turd when you don't like the person? Just walk away and let him talk. But no, heaven forfend he says something that makes these idiots question their current predicament. I'd love to see their reaction at someone banging pot and pans to disrupt those moronic pride parades they love so much. You just know that purple haired pig with her non-prescription glasses, just has her religious experiences a those.
