This is a completely simplistic view. Sounds a lot like you actually think we just came in there and engaged in systematic mass extermination of some peaceful people. Iberians were simply another player on the continent, which managed to be victorious.

Do not try to make us seem like we were the ultimate bad guys, as every side during that period was violent. Plenty of Iberians were tortured and sacrificed during Aztec horrifying rituals, for example.

Are you trying to pardon their behavior? No matter how poor you are, you can and should always behave like a decent human being.

Poor Spaniards emmigrated to France or Germany after our civil war but they did not behave like criminals there. They did not rape, did not put bombs, did not traffick with drugs, did not steal, they did work and overall, most of them returned to Spain (something will never happened with North Africans, at least voluntarily).

The excuse of poverty is pathetic (more even when you see all these little Moroccan criminals with smartphones and branded clothing ).

How so if there weren't more than 300 Spaniards in the Aztec Empire when the rituals were still happening? Comparing some few Spaniards with millions of natives killed is beyond ridiculous.

But I do agree with you that the Spanish violence in the conquest is overexaggerated. Most natives died through diseases to which they had no immunity, not due to Spanish mass killings obvious.
