Robert Matthew Van Winkle (known professionally as 'Vanilla Ice') is an Amerian rapper who was born in Dallas, Texas, on October 31, 1967.

Van Winkle has never known his biological father, so he was given the family name of his stepfather (Van Winkle) who was the man his mother was married to at the time of his birth.

When Van Winkle was four, his mother divorced. Afterward, he grew up moving between Dallas and Miami.

He's Texas-born so pressumably a German admixed man in the middle of the country German/West Slavic are very likely suspects. There's a good chunk of Anglo-Scots in Texas too
