In Veneto he stole and looted at the highest levels ... his troops were at the level of the Huns

    Praglia's Abbey Benedictine monks ( 60 monks ) - Padua Veneto

Napoleon's soldiers destroyed thousands of ancient books .. of the Greeks and Latins ect ect .. Maybe there were many missing books of the great philosophers and mathematicians of antiquity not yet translated .. All lost forever

More of a hero than a tyrant.

Napoleon has special place in polish culture. He was even honoured in the anthem

I admire Napoleon for his streamlining of code-law into a simple, uniform set for all the territories in the French empire. Ironically, his vassal-state, the "Confederation of the Rhine" paved the way for Germany to become a unified country. I like him despite his antagonism toward the British and the German speaking realms.

Sadly. Old books should be preserved.

Napoleon has been the most OVERRATED military ever. It was defeated by English, Spaniards and Russians, plus Prussians and etc etc which was his legacy??
