    But seriously. All the republics had the amount of soldiers based on their population size. By the end of 1944, Serbia had 204,000 (indeed the most, due to having the largest population). Macedonia had 66,000. Montenegro 30,000. Croatia 150,000. Etc etc.

    Another point i'd like to raise is that the west actually saw Nikolai favourably for not supporting the military intervention of the Soviet union in Czechoslovakia. They were seen as heroes by the west for quite some time. I think this instance was purely the will of the people. Respect to the Romanians.

    Edit: And also the Hungarians of Timisoara.
