I think it is much more common for Greeks to have regional similarty matches in Italy than viceversa. I suspect because they may rather be related to byzantine era movement's than magna Graecia times( that's my hypothesis) I think if the link were to be related to ancient times it would show on both sides. but I don't know of any italian that has matches in Greece and I don't neither.
