I found this article and unless I'm misinterpreting it somehow, 2-19% of west africans genetic ancestry lead to an extinct human species. How come this is so high? We often see that across the entire world, different human species make a small percentage, 1-5% at most of DNA and yet some west africans have up to 19%? I'd like someone to help explain things to me. Like does this mean that some west africans are only 80% homo saipen? It's kinda hard to believe.
