The Bishops of NY State have issued the following statement in the wake of the NY Legislature passing the homosexual marriage bill and pseudo-Catholic Governor Andy Cuomo signing it into law.

The laud that Bishop Hubbard of the Diocese of Albany heaped on Andy Cuomo's head during his inauguration Mass, and the allowance given him to receive Holy Communion while living with his concubine outside of Holy Matrimony and while supporting homosexual marriage and abortion is the major contributing factor to this sad turn of events.

Until and unless the Bishops do to Andy Cuomo what Saint Paul did to Hymenaeus and Alexander in 1st Timothy 1:19-20 (i.e., hand him over to Satan to be taught the lesson he needs), they have no one but themselves to blame.

1st Corinthians 6:9-10 is quite clear: "Do you not know that the unjust will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators nor idolaters nor adulterers nor boy prostitutes nor sodomites nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God."

By the way: Andy Cuomo is a liberal progressive Democrat, and Andy Cuomo is trying to shut down the Indian Point Energy Center in Buchanan, NY, the only safe and clean source of electricity that the metropolitan area has, because of anti-nuclear hysteria and fear-mongering.

Last I checked there were no sexual orientation requirements when getting married - only gender requirements (well, no longer in New York it appears). If a gay man & a gay woman want to marry each other, there's nothing stopping them. Homosexuals aren't being deprived of any rights. There is no universal right for any two people at all who claim to love each other to have their relationship recognized & supported by the state. But now we know the schoolchildren of New York will be taught how wonderful it is when homosexual couples are married & how they're just another "family" like anyone else. This is precisely the problem with gay "marriage": it normalizes a fundamentally anti-societal relationship & thereby undermines society at the most basic level. Gay "marriage" is a direct assault upon the very foundation of human society.

You wouldn't be an ostrich with your head buried in the sand now, would you? Gay "marriage" is symptomatic of the long cultural & moral decay of the West brought about by an extreme individualist mentality. In that respect, the sky has been falling for some time, or may perhaps be regarded as already fallen. It is part and parcel of the same cultural disease that wishes to liberate oppressed minorities while contrarily denying that "race" is a concept with any meaning - this denial now being extended, in essence, to gender. The world may not be coming to an end, but the West is certainly on its last legs at this point, unless there is a major cultural reversal.
