Southeast Asia is different, but yeah East Asians are very ethnocenteric people. Southeast Asia there is indeed a lot of white worship but that goes to colonial rule which China mostly avoided, so did Japan and Korea.

We're just more open-minded & more out-going( exception of northern Vietnam) It has nothing to do with colonial past. Any middle eastern Arab, Black African, Polynesian, Latino will notice right away from spending 1 week in the east or southeast Asia.

as a middle eastern. wear some Chinese clothes/speak Chinese/cook Chinese food/sing a Chinese song. you might get an angry response from Chinese users in youtube.

you won't get that same angry response from southeast Asians.

China avoided DIRECT colonial rule but indirectly through opium, trading ports, taxation, and stuff they were controlled by Britian

China didn't have the power to avoid colonial rule. It was the United States that led the ''china open door policy'' that stop Europeans powers from colonizing China. Japan felt like they were going to get colonize next so they modernize quickly & invaded China.

I would say that the basis of Christianity is a sub-division/spawn of Judaism which is in the middle east. I would not pick ''obsessed'' as the right word but People in the Asia like Rock N roll, Hip hop, RnB hollywood, marvel super heroes, italian suits etc.

Japanese don't really look up to Whites, in some cases Japanese look down on Whites actually. You can't compare Japan to the Philippines, in which the latter was colonized by Western powers like the Spanish for years and later the Americans. The Japanese managed to defeat every European powers, they defeated the British, the Dutch, French, and Russians. However the Japanese were only stopped by the Americans by two nuclear bombs. The Japanese might have adopted some Western elements but they clearly have surpassed the West in many ways. Japanese tend to be very ethnocentric, and I don't believe they have colonial mentality like you see in Latin America or the Philippines.

Japan should look up to whites because we modernized their backwards country and brought them out of paper houses and into the modern era after nuked them.

South Asians were colonised by Europeans too, but they certainly aren't overly fond of Whites. (At least not in the same way many SE Asians can be).
