    Polish words are spoken how they're spelt it seems? But Ukrainian alphabet looks completely different

    They use ... Cyrillic alphabet and as far as I am concerned it is spelt very close to how it is spoken unlike in Russian when a lot depends whether the syllable is accented or not.

    Ukrainian alphabet is closer to Polish because for example they have letter i same as we do instead of russian n.

    I don't think that Polish and Ukrainian are mutually intelligible. I understand Ukrainian almost as Russian but in general I do not understand Polish.

    Polish is difficult to understand. I understood most of what the girl said without looking at the translation. I got very little of what the guy said.

    If polish is the closest to the old-Slavic language then lets say thanks that language split and progressed into other more intelligible languages
