There are some absurds in Polish grammar that are hillarious once you analyse it.

Like the fact that the words like trup (a corpse) and wisielec (a hangman) are considered to be masculine animate when it comes to gender so you have to take it into your consideration once you use it.

Polish might be said to distinguish five genders: personal masculine (referring to male humans), animate non-personal masculine, inanimate masculine, feminine, and neuter. The animate–inanimate opposition for the masculine gender applies in the singular, and the personal–impersonal opposition, which classes animals along with inanimate objects, applies in the plural. (A few nouns denoting inanimate things are treated grammatically as animate and vice versa.) The manifestations of the differences are as follows:
yeah..i guess there are weird stuff like these in all languages for example we have 3 genders: feminine, masculine and neutral but neutral is not what many people would think. neutral gender is a gender that changes form from singural to plural. for example some words have are male gender in sigular form but become female gender in plural..and there is no rule for this..it's completely random.

The weirdest thing in Polish is that the most masculine word "mężczyzna" ends with a.

why is Polish so difficult to learn and understand, even for speakers of other Slavic languages ?

is it because it's so heavily inflected
