For people with English as a second language, what do you think?

I was always led to believe that spelling is the major sticking point of English; even native speakers struggle with it.

But yeah, listening comprehension is extremely intimidating with (presumably) any language.

Spelling. When you write one thing and say another. Because spelling doesn't exist in phonetic languages. That in turn leads to problems with pronunciation. Even after a while when you learn a lot of it every now and then you stumble over some trivial things.
