He is from Dasht-e-Azedegan..meaning he is most likely (95%) an arab.

Edit: probably originally from Yemen.

where do you get that statistic from? khuzestan is majority lur... I've heard estimates of 50 to 85%... is that city a part of the arab sector of the province or something?

Can't give you a statistic, but I know that the city Dasht-e-azedgan is majority arab and home to many arab clans/tribes originally from Yemen. Lurs and Persians live to the north and east of Khuzestan.

It's a legit morph. Caspians aren't really considered different from Persians in Iran.

Saki is a lur tribe but dash-e-azadegan is mainly an Arab district in Khuzestan

I know Iranians and I've been to Iran, so don't try to tell me that this guy is so atypical that he has to be an arab... he's not what I would describe as a typical Iranian at all, nor is he what I would describe as atypical... the first two I would describe as atypical for sure though

You're an Azeri so the Iranians you know look different. this guy would not be atypical among the many Iranians I know from Esfahan for example... he would be atypical as a luri-baktiari though or as a mazandarani
