maternal grandfather, b. 1913, 7 siblings born 1912-1924 (catholic, child of factory worker)
maternal grandmother, b. 1918, 3 siblings born 1914-1931 (catholic, child of farmer)

All of them were born at Moravia, (before 28 Oct 1918 at A-H Empire, after 28 Oct 1918 at Czechoslovakia)

In 19th century and previous centuries the number of children in average Czech family was around 10.
My grandparents were born in 1910s - and one decade before families in our country became smaller.
This demographical change started in France before 1830, but in another areas of Europe it became later - see the map:
