Your pigmentation compared to your relatives & ancestors?

I have brown eyes and light / medium brown hair myself, but all four of my grandparents had light eyes (3x blue x 1x green - my maternal grandmother). My mother is a hazel-eyed brunette whereas the pigmentation of my father has black hair (ok, now he's pepper-and-salt) and blue eyes. Curiously enough for a long time he was blond just llike me but his hair became much darker as a teenager. My 1st cousins (3 children of my father's brother) are grey/green mixed eyed and have brown hair. One of my female cousins from this of my family has one eye blue and one hazel (heterochromy).

All my paternal grandmother's siblings (she was the youngest child ... 10th) were blue/grey eyed yet with various hair colours from blonde (my grandma) to jet-black (the oldest sister of my grandma), and btw. each of them have very different facial features.

Most members of my family & cousins have a very good ability to tan. My sister has blue eyes and dark blonde / light brown hair and does not resemble me facial feature-wise nor in pigmentation at all.


I estimate that among my blood relatives light eyes occur among my relatives at frequency above 80%. (most of them pure blue-eyes)

I think the probability of me ending with dark eyes (Bunak scale 3) was not high. My mom has eye colour no 4 according to Bunak scale and my father no 12.

Somehow I don't tan as well as I should.

My mother is blonde and green-eyed and my father is brown-haired and brown-eyed. I came out as light-brown haired (blond as a kid) and hazel-green-eyed, so quite in between I’d say.

I have the same pigmentation as my parents (gray eyes, dark brown hair and pale skin than tans after initial burn). Two of my grandparents had the same pigmentation as us while the other 2 were different in that they had brown eyes.

In the middle. I have brown hair and eyes, reddish beard, fair skin. Half of my relative have blue or "greenish hazel" eyes, all others have brown.

im the lightest skinned person in my family, but that is probably because I rarely go out in the sun...

I got black hair like pretty much everyone in my family

I got dark brown eyes like my mom's side, while my dad's side is mostly green with a good portion of blue/brown aswell

I have pretty much the exact same pigmentation as my maternal grandfather. Everyone in my family is pretty pale-skinned and has either blue or light-mixed eyes, the hair colour varies a lot though.

Me: dark brown hair, light blue eyes, skin type 2.
Father: medium brown hair, blue-green eyes, skin type 2.
Mother: dark brown hair, light blue eyes, skin type 1-2.
Brother: dark blonde hair, light blue eyes, skin type 1.
Paternal grandfather: medium brown hair, blue-green eyes, skin type 1.
Paternal grandmother: blonde hair, green eyes, skin type 2.
Maternal grandfather: dark brown hair, light blue/grey eyes, skin type 2.
Maternal grandmother: medium brown hair, green eyes, skin type 1.

I have brown eyes and brown/dark brown hair. Father has blue eyes and dark blond/light brown hair, mother same pigment as me. 3 grandparents have blue eyes, 1 brown. Hair color ranging from blond to black. Majority phenotypes among my relatives in general are Norid, Balkan Borreby and Dinarid.

I'm not completely sure about skin, it ranges from extremely light to extremely dark (varies a lot also depending on seasons).

I have medium brown hair(and it becomes blondish at sunlight) and greenish brown eyes and my skin is "pasty" white when untanned(but i can get tan well), idk if you remember.

Both my parents are swarthier than me. My mother looks Atlanto-Med and have dark brown hair and eyes and light olive skin. My father looks Dinaro-Med and have brown-eyes and had dark brown hair, and have pale-skin(he can get tan easily just like me). My sister looks Atlantid and is pale white and sometimes burn and have dark brown hair and eyes, but she is a little whiter than me regarding skin color.

My father has pale skin, and blonde hair, inherited from my grandmother, also everyone is light eyed, greenish blue on that side. my mom is more mediterraen in complexion, dark brown haired and brown eyed, from my other grandma, Ive got my brown eyes from her aswell : )

Me: Medium to dark ash brown hair, dark brown eyes and light skin (i am able to tan easily)
Mother: Medium brown hair, medium brown eyes and light skin (she gets sunburnt)
Father: Dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, olive skin. (He is quite dark skinned in Summer)
