Yes, I absolutely agree, it's the classic midpoint scenario. I think it's partly a matter of having just of enough Indo-European admixture (or maybe later Bell Beaker) to be dragged into Germany or Central Europe. This probably comes from the Irish half. I find these midpoints very interesting even if they don't reflect what we really are. I like to see groups that are genetically close to me.

Yes, that makes sense. It's even more so for me because Germans and Hungarians are not as distant from each other as Irish and Romanian. But I like the positive attitude man, I have to take a page outta your book, pay a little more respect to those genetically close groups
