Today, the Forest Finns are fully assimilated into the Norwegian and Swedish societies and their language is extinct. The last known Forest Finns of Sweden to have spoken Finnish fluently were Johannes Johansson-Oinoinen (a.k.a. Niittahon Jussi, died 1965) and Karl Persson (died 1969).

they setteled in a way bigger part of sweden then just Värmland and Dalarna, they setteled from the landscape of Ångermanland all the way down to a place called Tiveden located between Närke and Västergötland

another word for them is "svedjefinnar" and the majority of swedes with roots in the landscapes they setteled has them among their ancestors
