I guess this means Norwegians and Danes are more untrustworthy than Swedes on average because of the larger number of Cro-Magnids and other wide faced anthrotypes.

Didn't read any of the articles yet but the first thing that comes to mind is this: do they mean "wide" in absolute metrics or "wide" expressed as a value compared to facial height?

There's a big difference.

Metrically, I have a pretty wide face but I also have a rather long face so when expressed as a ratio, my face isn't that wide.

Well, remember - according to Kretschmer et. al, Athletic body types tend to be direct and honest, but Pynkics tend to be more "clever" and prone to manipulation. Both have wide faces, though. This complicates the study as well.
