Slavic Macedonians are only majority in North Macedonia.
Macedonians in Greece are regional identity of local Greeks.

In Northern Ireland, the Protestants are descendants of English and Scottish Protestant settlers. I guess this can be comparable to Asia Minor/Pontian settlers in Greek Macedonia in the 1920s.

Nearly all Scottish in fact.

But the Scottish are mostly descended from the Gaels who came over to found the Dal Riata so it all works out in the end.
