Weightlifters are not just strong. Being good requires speed, timing, technique, optimal limb proportions. They can jump higher than any other non jumping athletes (i.e. high jumpers) which demonstrates their skill set is not purely that of strength. Also, they are absolutely on steroids, many are even open about this in a *wink wink nudge nudge* kind of way.

Never heard of him and just looked him up. You seem to know about him more though... lol. I don't watch strongest man competitions, except for some guys I noticed from Iceland on YT videos.
I'm impressed by the handsome Icelanders strength... and their classy mannerisms.

Being injected with steroids and other chemicals to make you look strong doesn't make you strong at all. Just saying.

He's a British strongman who won WSM 2017. Pretty cool dude and I'm happy that he won, although he's officially retired from competing these days. Here's a video of him breaking the deadlift world record @ 500kg, you can see that he collapses afterwards - he said in an interview on This Morning that it caused him to suffer a brain bleed afterwards. Ouch.
And on the topic of the thread, as Bellbeaking said, it's naive to assume that strongmen aren't juiced up in some way or another as practically all of them are and Lasha Talakhadze (the guy in the OP) is no exception. Low IQ thread.

steroids don't make you look buff without you training. The only ones that might make you look more "fat" and cause water retention are nandrolone, dianabol and a few others. But the way they work is they increase protein synthesis. If a guy uses steroids but there's nothing to repair (he didn't workout) he won't get huge or very strong. Anabolics have different properties and desired effects but they mainly just repair your muscles faster. Someone WILL get a little bit stronger and "puffier" initially like I've said before and even then results will be dramatically different if he uses 400mg of testosterone per week vs 500mg of trenbolone for example. But yeah, most professional athletes do take them and if not, they usually try peptides , sarms and/or hgh (although hgh is usually underdosed because its really expensive)
