Ive been to Varna before, and the Bulgarians there seemed to have dark hair far more often than your pictures show

Anyway, here is your typical Black sea cost Bulgarian:


Generally, people from the coast are said to look like Greeks/Turks/gypsies, but we have dark people everywhere. However we also have people with blue/green eyes here and there, so there is a big variance. Naturally blond hair is pretty rare, light eyes + brown/hazel/black hair combo is much more common than any eyes + naturally blond hair. Most of the blondes you see are fake blondes, but some of them look very good with blond hair.

I actually find women with darker features who dye their hair blob to be quite attractive. It's like getting the best of both worlds

But yeah, I agree that Bulgarian phenotypes are very dependent on region, with the coast having more Med types.

The problem with Bulgarian and South European women in general is that when they marry, they are expected to do the house work and look after the children. I don't know many Bulgarian/Balkan families where the dad stays at home, cleans the dishes, looks after the children and cooks while the mom is working out of home and goes to bars in her free time.
