    Default Goat appreciation thread!

    Do you like goats?

I love goats, not to eat, but the wool and the milk, is me.

Also, goat personality and cuteness are, to me, unrivalled amongst all other domesticated breeds.

    I want goats...

I want to wake up surrounded by hundreds of baby goatlings.

We used to have sheep, but what is the point? They are BORING.

They smell. Tell me again just what are goats good for? In America we don't eat goat meat or use goat milk.

As they mature, they develop a certain majesty, which other livestock cannot claim.

They can also become terribly fond of people.

Unfortunately, I only have small Italianate balconette:

    (This was before I decorated!)

However, I will be bring more goat into my life. The goat is my lucky animal or magic animal or something, so more cashmere, more goats' milk.

Goats' milk has a different quality to cows' milk.

It is kapha and pitta reducing, so it is good or better for spring and summer.

Better for kapha and pitta disorders like obesity, irritability, rashes, allergies, odema etc.

(Light. Relieves cough, Fever, Diarrhea. Increases Vata, Decreases Pitta & Kapha. Usually, goat's milk is more easily digested for people who have difficulty with cow's milk.)

Goats' milk is non mucus forming.

Lastly, seventy-two percent of the milk used in the world comes from GOATS.

I prefer dairy products that come from a cow. But I don't plan on getting a pet cow.

I share the affection for goats, but they used to scare me sometimes as a child. A neighbour's goat, I swear, used to lie in wait for me and butt me to the ground!

I especially like pygmy goats and Nubian goats.

I believe we should have a sheep appreciation thread in honour of our Welsh members.

    Wait, we don't?

*looks in his fridge and examines a box of feta*

I adore goat/sheep cheese and milk.
