Yeah, but I wasn't aware football is popular in Eastern Europe to the point of being discussed and all of that. I admit my ignorance since I don't know many teams from there (apart from Red Star and Russian teams).

Among mainstream audience and Asian/African fans sure. But true fans of European football enjoy watching "smaller" teams play too. Tbh id rather watch Millwall vs West Ham than lets say Juve vs United, because there is a lot history between rivalry of Millwall and West Ham.

Bandwagoning is not a thing in Europe. Its more USA and Asian mentality.

Porto fall to Krasnodar I will say that Dagestani player Shapi-Suleymanov looks the player.

Red Star and Copenhagen was a great game with the Sebs winning on penalties.

Zagreb went off in the 2nd leg and Ajax edge past PAOK Thessaloniki.

Biggest surprise for me is LASK Linz knocking out Basel who in the previous round knocked out PSV Eindhoven

Following big clubs is kind of plastic in comparison
