How would Europe be if south Europe had not existed?

Would Europe be the dominant continent as it is today?
I don't do this thread to attack the Germanics or other Europeans.
In my opinion, not Europe would not be different from other continents such as Asia, it would no longer be dominant but not so weak, probably the scientific revolutions and cultures would have changed places.
The discovery of America would have taken much more
In addition there would be much less white people, therefore Europe would be more depopulated compared to other continents.
What would be your opinion?

Europe would be a superpower. However, large nations always fail as they can't tend to the needs and wants of their many cultures. That is why Rome fell, why Eastern Europe broke into a thousand pieces, and why countries keep getting smaller and smaller.

I think It'd be something like modern Mongolia,some bloodshed here and there in times and nothing more ,maybe the place of Southern Europeans would be taken by expanding Phoenicians/Egyptians etc who would either civilize these barbarians in the same way,assimilate or kill them,you really can't guess.

If southern Europe had not existed, the Roman Empire would not have existed either, so the Germanics would have had to develop from 0 as the Vikings used to do it, I also think that if Russia had not existed Europe would be better and that communism would not have existed either .

Without the developments that took place from the Greeks and later on the Roman Empire, Europe would of been a tribal wasteland. Two scenarios. Either the Mongols/Turkics would of expanded further west, making modern Europe akin to modern day Kazakhstan. Or the Arabic/Islamic calphate would of expanded rapidly from the south, Islamising Europeans (as no Roman Empire existed to spread Christianity) and thus the whole of Europe would of been Islamised as opposed to just the Iberian peninsular like in our timeline.

Totally dependent on time period. So, Alexander's attempt to make Persians and Greeks race mix, or Roman conquering through marriage pre Empire, or Mongol conquest of all Eurasia, or Proto-Indo-European conquest of all Eurasia never existed?

Probably the most likely scenario; something would need to exist to fill the void that the Romans had filled with the spread of Christianity. A defenceless Europe wouldn't of stood much chance against any of the caliphates of the past
