How would Europe be if south Europe had not existed?

Would Europe be the dominant continent as it is today?
I don't do this thread to attack the Germanics or other Europeans.
In my opinion, not Europe would not be different from other continents such as Asia, it would no longer be dominant but not so weak, probably the scientific revolutions and cultures would have changed places.
The discovery of America would have taken much more
In addition there would be much less white people, therefore Europe would be more depopulated compared to other continents.
What would be your opinion?

If southern Europe had not existed, the Roman Empire would not have existed either, so the Germanics would have had to develop from 0 as the Vikings used to do it, I also think that if Russia had not existed Europe would be better and that communism would not have existed either .

I do not idealize communism, its main danger is a mixture of lies and truth. The problem is that modern (obsolete) capitalism (globalism) is not a complete replacement for the Soviet system, and a return to the old (up to the 20th century) ideals is impossible.

If you meant Islam or another semetic Religion would've replaced Christianity as the driving cultural force and would've as well overtaken Paganism, I mean, sure, but Europeans would just modernize it like they did with Christianity. Even Catholicism itself was already different from the original Middle-Eastern Christianity, Romans put their own spin on it, then you have further modernization in Protestantism, Christianity after the Enlightenment and the modern situation. Who cares. Pretty sure the Bible says women should cover up as well. Both are already semetic Religions in the first place.

You cannot change/reformed islam because the muslims are insist to original Quran, that's why most of them live on medieval level until the present day. If Europe had accepted islam instead of christianity that Europe would be a third world shithole today, so i'm very happy that Europe is christian.
