Yes. It's something i don't want to pay much attention to. But i feel a closer relationship right off the bat with people from Denmark and North germany.
But i think culture plays well into that aswell, and not only that i see a familiar face.

No; I feel safest with family or friends. And honestly if its a random person, class structure is more important. I'd feel safer sitting on a train next to a Chinese businessman than a British chav.

Not in my home country, but when I´m traveling it can make me feel more comfortable being around people of my ethnicity

Instinctively yeahh, like, but I don't know why exactly, probably because of the person resembling my parents or relatives

Not really. I cannot generalise, for example in my dormitory back at university, I felt the safest around chinese and latinos, and less safe around austrians but I would think that I have at least culturally more in common with austrians and we speak the same language, and I have really zero ties with chinese, neither by race, nor culture, nor did I even understood what they spoke, they spoke in their languages. But maybe it was the outsider effect.

I get along best with guys that look like me, with women is an another story because of the factor of attraction, so the race doesnt make much difference, I dont know how to explain it ... but yeah, there is an old French proverb : "Children that are alike play best together"

I get along best with guys, who share a similar mentality and personality and interests as me, looks is secondary. I mean nerdy guys, who like star trek were people i liked to be around in school.

I grew up around so many middle easterners and italians, im not even proud of it but I guess its humane I adapted alot of them and feel comfortable around them.

I think they are way more collectivistic than modern day germans, for them traits like loyality still mean something.

But I know east Germans are 180degree different to west Germans and still have a solidarity,loyality,in group thinking and are collectivistic.
