    I think these are brahmin averages from each region. R1a cant be more than 1/3 for any given region in india if we take all castes into account.

    High frequency of J2b2 in India is very telling. It is for sure bronze age marker that came with Indo-Europeans.

    Possibly Paleo-Balkan left overs with Alexanders army, or earlier Indo-European split that went with the Indo-Aryan waves of R1a further east, whilst the remainder went predominantly South-East. I guess that depends when their clades split from Paleo-Balkan J2b2.

    My guess is they are different clades from IE invaders.

    If that is the case, then J2b2 would have also been present with Indo-Aryans. Other than with Indo-Aryan R1a-Z93 I don’t see when it would come up again unless with Alexander’s army. .
