Here are the numbers for Oberkassel

    Maximum cranial breadth (biparietal): 141mm
    Bizygomatic breadth: 152mm

This gives him whopping zygomatic index of 1.08

I tried calculating cranial capacity for your data set using Lee's formula (.365*L*B*H+359.34 for males and .375*L*B*H+296.4 for females).

The formula for females gave on average a 36.2 ml higher result.

Female formula gives higher results because it takes into account that females don't have as thick bones in their skulls as men do. Obviously there is also variation in in-between male skull thickness, so there formula is not 100% bullet proof, but probably pretty close.

    Some australoid basic specs:

    Nacurrie 1:

    Skull length: 209 mm
    Skull breadth: 135 mm

For comparison sake, Nacurrie 2, from whom also skull height was measured:

    Skull length: 206 mm
    Skull breadth: 139 mm
    Skull height: 146 mm

How do you apply skin texture to skulls? Is it radically different from the skull?

Yeah, especially nasal index can give hugely different results depending on if it's measured from skull or living person.

14th century Yakutian. Skull looks similarily shaped as the Kylälahti average sample, only the Yakutian skull is a tad smaller. However the facial dimensions are simply enormous: 141mm bizygomatic, 99mm(!) upper face height, and 125mm bigonial.
