I agree. Russians are by nature someway lazy but they ain't stupid at all. So here ... believe me ... some ''extra work'' will not harm them at all.
LOL. Russians wants exactly to negotiate separately face to face with every countries in Europe. All countries in Baltic sea area knows that and at least all smaller ones have faced those attempts (''pressures'') too in last 10 years time. Why? Just because that would be much better for Russia. There is no rocket science behind of this. Russia is one and stays same ... but opposite side would change from huge market area (EU) to small individual countries. In the second case? Small countries would not have any power to real negotiate => Russians would set up the terms (I guess this actually what ''negotiation'' means in Russia ... based on your culture). Ok, the outcome? Russia would get better deals/contracts. Pretty simple as that.
Nah ... you have to do much better if you really want to discuss with me.

It is obvious to anyone with half a brain EU isn't going to survive. It has nothing to do with Russia but the way it was setup from the beginning. If Russia wants balkanized Europe all it has to do is sit and wait. You folks are going to start running away from each other rather soon.

EU? Maybe it won't, maybe it will (in near future). Only time will tell. Russian hopes that, no doubt. Just keep in minds; Russia will not stay in one piece for ever either.
Common market area is the only good side in EU. So even if EU would collapse ... something similar would come instead. As that would be Europeans benefits (other than Russians).
