I would not dispute that Alexander belongs to the Hellenic civilisation. I also would not dispute that the Hellenic civilisation along with Roman civilisation and on belongs to the cultural and historical heritage of the people and the state of Republic of Macedonia. How it could not be? Macedonia had been divided during the Balkan wars but that doesn’t mean that Macedonians and Macedonian history can be misinterpreted as Greek or Bulgarian.

If Alexander belongs to the Hellenic civilization, and by extension to the Hellenic history, how is it possible that Macedonians and Macedonian history are misrepresented as Greek history???

About Alexander being Greek:

I don't like this game, because while the Ethnos did exist back then (there was a collective Greek and Celtic identity for example) what we consider to be "Greek" now is under the post-enlightenment and nation state paradigm. Ethnicity has become institutionalized into a civic ideal. This did not exist at all among the various city states and tribes that made up the various regions of Hellas.

What does it mean to be Greek today?? Up until the 1900s in some places people who spoke Greek considered themselves to be Romans, and now we see this idea of people being Greek? This has gotten so popular, that there is even a Greek church seperate from Constantinople. I have done some research into what being "Greek" really means. And I've traced it to Neopagan ideas stemming from the occultist Plethon.

Plethon for starters, was also an advocate for Zoroastrianism, and if you continue your "research" any further, you might "discover" that the Greeks are Pagans of all sorts, except that they are still Christians or Atheists/Agnosticists, unlike Plethon. Well, you are just an idiot, there were by far more Greeks than Plethon... The one who spearheaded the revival of Classical thinking was Theodore I Laskaris, long before Plethon was born.

Long story short: Alexander isn't Greek or Slav or Albanian, also this whole controversy over statues in Macedonia is silly. Grow up. To my Iliridan brothers and sisters: stay neutral, let them tire themselves out.

To be honest we are treated better than ever in this country as of now, compared to past governments? Ohh boy. From our POV the most dangerous thing that can happend is a union with bulgaria, we would be screwed then. This fighting with the greeks theyre doing isnt too serious these days it seems.
All in all a lot has changed for Albanians in the region, just in 2018 albanian became official, we almost had a deal with serbia, tuzi became a municipality, and other things.

Maybe 5 years ago i would have supported us leaving north of macedonia under gruevski, but as of now i feel a lot more at home here, plus when we enter the eu, in practical terms greater albania will be formed without ANY more wars.

What makes you believe that Albania shall enter the EU? Even Colombia is more careful with drug lords these days, and Rama makes everything he can to return to the Ottoman empire, if I am not mistaken... I'm not surprised though, you've tried that before, haven't you???
