Default GEDmatch calculators and population components?

Do the population components on GEDmatch calculators (such as West_Asian, North_European, Red_Sea, etc.) depend on ancient populations and ancient migration routes?

they were extracted from modern people. most of them has multiple ancient components in them. for example north european probably has mostly WHG and EHG in it, maybe a little bit of other stuff too

you can find the list of populations used for eurogenes k15 and k36 online, i will post the link when i find it

They are extracted from modern people but the results show ancient migration routes, right?

well that depends on the calculator and the component we are talking about, "west med" in eurogenes calculators is pretty much ENF(early neolithich farmer), some others are not so clear
    read this https://www.eupedia.com/forum/thread...lly-correspond

The Basque component was found in WHG (8% and 11%), in Funnelbeaker Sweden (2% and 28%), in Chalcolithic Hungary (8%), in Corded Ware Poland (14.5%), Sintashta (1.5%), and in the Nordic Bronze Age (3%). It the component with the least clear pattern.
