Purgatory ( you are already saved ) means additional purification... before meeting God "the father" your soul must have no sin ... not even those you have forgotten ...It is true that Jesus never talked about purgatory... only heaven or hell.. but the first fathers of the Church ( I-II-III-IV century) claimed that a purification "period" should exist because almost all men have sins they forget they have done and before meeting God - "the father" - your soul must have no sin

I'm glad you admit this. So I don't have to raise that point again. Also, when you say "first fathers of the church", it's probably not the very first ones... since none of the apostles have talked about "Purgatory", and hence you won't find reference to it in the New Testament either.

I think all things considered from the message of the New Testament, it is clear that -- when we repents before God and confesses our sins before him, and ask him to cleanse us from all unrighteousness... then he does that. We are cleansed by the blood of Jesus and sanctified further by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, and through living holy lives to honour God. We are also baptised for the remission of sins, as per the command of Jesus, and we partake in regular communion where we identify and take his body and blood to cleanse us. After all this, there is no need for more purgatory, to be very honest... because he cleanses us with his blood completely. And if we sin again, we just have to repent again. I see no need for purgatory for the saved believer.
