Visiting Poland

What areas, cities, regions, etc. do you recommend me to visit? I will be there in winter time

If you will be in Poland in winter time then I would recommend mountain area as Tatra mountains, Karkonosze or Beskidy. I can't recommend any ski resorts because I haven't visited this part of Poland yet, but I guess another Polish members will know.

I would ask the same question since I plan long delayed Poland, Ukraine, Belarus and Russia tour this spring.

Poland is too cold and harsh in winter for me, I prefer green spring bloom.

Besides mountains region go to visit north east of Poland which is said to be coldest region. If you are not afraid of cold ( as long as we are going to have winter because year by year it is getting milder ) In addition you can feel a breath of east slavic states vibe because east region of Poland is culurally associated with orthodox church. You may see orthodox cementaries or churches. Podlaskie borders with Belarus and Warmińsko-Mazurskie with Russia. Good idea is also bordering cities like Cieszyn - with Czech Rep. or Zgorzelec with Germany where you go to another country just by walking a bridge.

Well it was very cold because I went at Christmas time, but fun

Mostly I ate a lot of food and went to museums. That area of Poland gave me a similar vibe to Estonia (and surrounding Baltic areas), but I am curious to explore the rest of the country.
