Default A Gentleman should always walk curbside of a lady...

I notice in my area something that's really changing in recent years. Men are walking on the inside of the women they are accompanying down the street. This isn't right, and it even looks bizarre. A Gentleman should always walk curbside (the part of the sidewalk closest to the curb) when walking with a woman. This is how it's done. That is how we all did it . In my Daddy's day, it was the unspoken law. This is because you need to protect a woman from traffic or the elements that come from the street. When a man is on the inside, it shows him as weak and uncaring. I see this a lot with the younger people and it really is disheartening.

This rule is from times there were no sidewalks and cars were shit to drive.
It still makes sense when walking alongside roads, otherwise not so much.

But it still just looks odd today to see men walking on the inside of a woman. It looks like the woman is in charge. A man curbside is the natural way. I am not even that old, but that's how I was raised.
