    Another fallacy is the one where people associate whiteness = richness in the Latin American context.
    While it's true that the elite of countries like Brazil and Mexico, for example, tend to be very white when compared to the working class folks, they (whites) can be found in all social classes and nobody will think a common Iberian/Italian looking person looks too white to be a working class Latino(a).

    These are some rich girls from São Paulo and their phenotypes can be seen among all Brazilian social spectrum, not just the elite, social class they belong:

    Brazil is a vast/diverse country, I think the context is diferent in these states you mentioned.
    But here in the southeast, no, whites are a substantial element in the working class.
