If you had the chance to reset your life or obtain citizenship, where would you want to live?

I've never really been east of Budapest. You can find people who hate Americans nearly everywhere but I'll say there's a difference in the way it's usually expressed depending where I've been. Southern Euros tend to be a little more up front about it but it's more from this sense they're just culturally superior to us, while with Scandinavians it's more from a political place and a moral superiority thing. Certain places like Britain are a mixed bag.

So how is the south and east?

Basically the only places with hate for americans other than minorities in other countries.

America is absurdly big, we have like every climate imaginable too, I like being able to drive to the desert then come home to mountains or go visit places like Florida where they have alligators and bullsharks etc.

Nah, it's just an application as any other and one I'd be granted when I meet the requirements and the paper work gets sorted. It would give me the benefit to make use of Dutch electronic services requiring my ID and the ability to vote for politicians of my neighbourhood.

But yes, I also would be honoured to hold such ID for I very much love the Netherlands. And as a bonus having a Dutch ID grants me more practical benefits over holding a Belgian one, living in the Netherlands.

Nothing weird about a Belgian-Dutch person with a Dutch ID and as a person from Antwerp I'm also 'ethnically Dutch' anyway indeed. A person with a Dutch ID with a Belgian accent, it's considered 'uncommon' though, I have to admit. But I will become such an individual.

People will keep calling me Belgian and I'd still call myself one, just not by citizenship anymore (only by culture and origin). And to make to funnier, Belgium is by the door anyway and I drive and off both countries as if I never cross a border anyway.

It's not 'resetting my life'. I'd be very much the same person I always was.

Imo as a Turk your life wouldnt be fullfilling in Canada. 6 months of winter, hard to find true friends, people live away from long distances, you cant get anywhere without a car, many people are depressed - no wonders Marihuana is legalised. But it has some good points, I like winter sports, nice nature etc.

If you can either reset your life or get a citizenship of any country, which one would you choose? AND WHY?

To be honest even tho there are things I really dont like about the US, I would probably choose it.
Since I love doing and watching sports, this country is like a heaven, you can watch NHL, NBA, American football or baseball.

My answer - Poland or Czech Republic, reason - no fucking MENAs, decent economy (not really strong but not so bad either), pretty girls (ok, I have this in Serbia too but it's still valid reason), corruption on sane level, state institutions do their job properly.
