Do you think climate change is real or a scheme in western countries to raise tax revenue?

I think anthropogenic climate change is real. Besides animal agriculture, oil, natural gas (for transportation, technology, etc.) is deleterious to the environment. Pretty much every scientist worth their salt on both sides of the Atlantic in the major scientific journals says that it is real. Like I said, I think conserving the Earth should be priority number 1,2,3, and 4,000. Listen to the people on this thread saying things like, 'Oh its OK, we can all just move to the mountains while everything goes under water, etc.' That sounds absolutely crazy to me. Think about the losses to human civilization we'll incur if ocean levels rise. Why the f--k did we even build all this in first place if we're just going to destroy it? Instead of coming up with these wild rationalizations, we could just, you know, not kill the Earth?

We should invest in large-scale alternative fuels immediately. Even the billionaire dickheads can get a piece of the new industries.

Animals that have lived for many millions of years have gone extinct already cause of humans. And I'm not talking about evolving but extinction. Many more would have become extinct if humans didn't start conservation in recent times. Crocidilians and sharks have been around since the dinosaurs or even before (sharks are older than trees), but have become locally extinct in several areas. Bees could have the same fate. I don't think bees will go extinct though because now we're more environmentally conscious and won't allow it, but I don't think its healthy to have such a complacent attitude to such a serious.

Also, most of the extinctions that have occurred cause extremely negative consequences that took a long term to recover. Look up the "Permian-Triassic extinction event". It was an extinction event that occurred due to natural disasters and the most serious one that has occurred so far. It wiped out the vast majority of animals and the earth became a dry uninhabitable desert for a long time. Around 30 million years were taken to recover from this event. In the area where the recovery was quickest, the recovery took "only" 2 million years. Now there are some instances where the extinction event can be caused by natural causes and we can't do anything about, but why should we allow it to happen when we have the ability to stop it from happening?
