Not sure, but the DUP who governs them are religious. The DUP even goes so far to take their religious beliefs into politics, rather than keeping religion secular from politics - which is why abortion and gay marriage are illegal in NI.
In the rest of the UK, the DUP are viewed as extremists and religious fanatics... but the Northern Irish voted for them. I don't know about the amount of Northern Irish people who are devoted protestants - if they go out drinking, smoking, clubbing, etc.... and if they hate on catholics and muslims and jehovahs.... which isn't very judeo-christian behaviour, as they're supposed to love everyone unconditionally. I view that as utterly hypocritical. For centuries protestants and catholics have been killing each other and hating each other - whilst they both preach about love and peace.
I think most of the so-called christians in the rest of the UK aren't practicing christians;- it's just a false label they place on themselves as they live a non christian lifestyle.

Ireland is becoming increasingly secular. Deliberate misrepresentation of the abuse scandal by the anti-Catholic media, as well as the influence of American tech companies that have set up shop there, have played a big part in secularizing Ireland. I’d say Poland has eclipsed Ireland as the most devoutly Catholic country in northern Europe (depending on how you define northern Europe). Malta is also very devoutly Catholic... Catholicism is still the official state religion there.

Strictly speaking Ireland is usually classed as Western Europe instead of Northern Europe. But if you want to include Ireland, I guess you should include the Baltics as well. And then, Lithuania becomes your second Catholic country.
Poland is not seen as Northern Europe, but rather Eastern Europe.
Apart from this, Northern Europe is almost uniformly Protestant.
