Running of the Bulls

The Running of the Bulls is a practice that involves running in front of a small group (typically a dozen) of bulls that have been let loose, on a course of a sectioned-off subset of a town's streets. The most famous running of the bulls in the world is that of the seven-day festival of Sanfermines in honour of San Fermín in Pamplona. (Wikipedia article)

No. I think them in close relation. I would imagine that all countries have had, at some point, simular sport. I think it past time to end any pratice that inflicts pointless misery upon such animals.

I don't like it (bullfighting), but not because I find them cruel, but because I don't feel attracted to it as I am not attracted to horse racing, let's say.

The fact that people get that silly about it (spaniards but especially foreigners) make my already stubborn nature go even more stubborn and defend something that I don't necessarily like.

Bullfighting faces widespread criticism everywhere all over the world... yet you don't hear the same negativity in regards to rodeos (I largely grew up in a small village where annual rodeos were an integral part of community social life). Surely rodeos are no less traumatising for the animals than bullfighting.

In any case, I've still yet to see a bullfight, but I'm really looking forward to the day when I get the opportunity to!

I repeat, there are already threads about bullfighting, in which your opinion is likely to be the same as mine and that of most Catalans.

This is just about runnings of the bulls. A practice that in principle does not imply any kind of torture in itself.
