    Very interesting that East Bulgaria was almost homogenous turkish and East Thrace was pure greek.

    What is the explanation because Istanbul still ethnic greek after centuries of turkish domination?, I though that the turkish were concentrated there for the relevance in comparission with anothers places conquered.

    I think turks from East Bulgaria were deported to Istambul, and greeks from Istambul were deported to Greece.

    That map is probably just not very accurate. Maps from this book should be more accurate:

    Grouping Eastern Serbs as Bulgarians is not fair since they were just shown as Bulgarian because of their dialect which is different than standard Serbian, and i guess because Bulgarian Exarchate controlled parts of Eastern Serbia. Nonetheless i am not aware of any other things than can point out to them being Bulgarian.
