Yeah, the Confederates in Brazil still use the symbols that are considered racist in the US context, but they aren't racist or anything of the sort, many of the Brazilian descendants from the Confederados ended up mixing with white Brazucas of Southern European origin and even with blacks.

One of my ancestors brothers fled to Argentina because he was a member of the Missouri Partisan Rangers which was not included in any agreements since they were basically guerrillas. My ancestor was also a member but his membership wasn't made public until long after the war

Me being a Civil War Buff, I've known about "the Confederates in Brazil" for a long time now. Yes, they're good people, and very likable. Unfortunately, I surely won't have the opportunity to participate in their community.

When I lived in Tennessee I always wore my battle flag, people would honk and give rebel yells; Southerners are great. Even Black people love the confederacy outside the large cities .

More with city people more than any location, you can find people flying confederate flags in rural New York XD

They're basically the only people who ever bring it up. Even then, I've seen lots of Confederate flags in Pennsylvania.
