The oil plant is the world’s largest such facility. One would think there were Patriot missile systems all around it. Apparently, the radars didn’t not see a thing and no Patriot missiles were fired.

I was wondering about that too. The Saudi's have shitloads of high tech weapons, offensive and defensive. Either those yankee patriots suck, or the people operating them were sucking each other. Iran fucked them good regardless.

That does force our hand. I think there is zero political will here to support the Saudi's but if they were to do that, then I actually believe that our new support for Saudi Arabia should actually be military in nature as this would be an act of war. Worse still: it would be Turkey deliberately destabilising its NATO allies (treason) and I think that the first nation to be hit (likely Greece) should call in article 5 against Turkey. Then maybe our politicians should show some balls.

Don't worry dude, Turkey has a roadmap for leaving the NATO. Once Turkey is fully independent militarily from the west and has it's own nukes it's bye bye NATO.

The best revenge is having a good life. If you tried to be another Japan economically, this would be the best revenge against us. Do you have motivation for this instead of blaming others? In the nature might makes right. Southern Germany wasn't German two millenniums ago. England wasn't Anglo-Saxon two millenniums ago, Balkans and Poland weren't Slavic millenniums ago. So what? Strong dominates the weak. In Turkish Greek history same happened. Many Bavarians have Boi, Slavic etc origins. Do they say evil Teutons invaded our lands? Nope. Germans assimilated f*ck out of them. Most of Europe was build at the height of colonialism by importing huge amounts of wealth from abroad. Countries like Britain had access to half the world’s natural resources. I can build Beckingham palaces too with other peoples wealth. How much of Khaddafi’s 200 billion or Venezual gold has Britain illegally confiscated.

Europes' wealth was created mostly in the 20th and 21st centuries, in spite of two world wars centered upon it. If you think that Europes' wealth are some medieval buildings and not its' modern infrastructure and industry, you have a few loose screws...

Saudi Arabia would propably exist but would be a whole different country. Saudi Arabia with it's original king line was very isolationist and wanted having nothing to do with the rest of the world. They were against drilling of oil so the US did what it does best and made sure a new line came in power. With that came a form of muslim ideology to power that wasn't isolationist anymore and with the help of petrol dollars started the muslim terrorism as we know it today.

Israel wouldn't exist if not for the US, the Brits were very much against the creation of Israel at the time.

Interesting to note that Greece wouldn't exist today without the UK.

Turkey wouldn't exist today either without the Russians stopping the Egyptians from conquering all of the Ottoman empire shortly after the Greek war of independence...

Indeed. There would be no Greece without Brits, French and Russians dying for their independence. There would be no Greece without Bavarians trying to recreate Greece's history after its independence. Judging from the gratitude shown by the Greeks, I think all those countries made a dreadful mistake.

When it comes to this Saudi-Turkish conflict, it would be good for Western Europeans to understand that neither the Turks or the Arabs are our friends and we should thus keep our noses out. The same goes for the Cypriot civil war.

If there is any nation that has bled for Greece every single time, it were the Brits: be it the Greek War of Independence, WW1, the Greco-Turkish War, World War II, the Civil War. And today they would still... because of NATO.

Turkey is still in NATO, and all the loans that British banks gave to Greece were absolute theft, no matter how you see that. Besides, Britain supported the Ottoman empire and later Turkey. The British for example destroyed the Egyptian fleet when Egypt was having a real blitzkrieg against the Ottoman empire, which the Turks repayed by giving Cyprus to the British. Then the British did everything to keep Cyprus British or to have the Turks keep a chunk, including supporting the Turkish invasion in Cyprus.

The British barely ever bled for Greece. Greece was betrayed by its' German king in WWI but still sided with the Allies in the end, and of course it won many victories in WWII when Britain was losing ground everywhere. All other support operations of Brits towards Greece were minor in character, a single naval battle in Navarino, no troops supporting Greece against Turkey at 1922 in spite of Greece fighting in Russia against the Bolsheviks for the sake of British interests, and so on...
