Why do Germans have almost Oriental sounding accents?

Germans speaking English with heavy German accents sound faintly like Indians, not Chinese.

I don't think Germans sound like Indians. I have a lot of exposure where I live to a large variety of global accents, and I've never mistook an Indian accent on the phone for a German accent - or vice versa. To the trained ear they're different.

I am not native but I noticed that Germans swap the th sound with s in English like Chinese do.
Other then that they don't sound Asian to me

German is considered a very guttural language, with many harsh consonants. (phonetics) Articulated at the back of the mouth. The Germans have a throaty guttural R sound.

Here's German people singing in German (below.) They don't sound anything like Oriental people.

(Blutengel are a German gothic band. Blut Engel means blood angel. The word England stems from 'Engel Land'. The word Engel translates as 'angel' in German, Danish, Dutch, etc... but in English it means land of the Angles.)

Chinese sounds nothing like German either... and their far-east accents are very different to Germans and Europeans.

I like English accents - but not all of them. Luckily there's a much larger variety of accents to be found in the British Isles than in the U.S. according to linguists. London has a large variety of global accents.... but amongst the Londoners themselves, there's the posh and refined accents which are heard more amongst the middle classes and ruling elite.... and then there's the rougher east end Cockney accent... which I don't like either. (Not many people in the UK like Cockney accents.) Cockney accents are dying out though.

London consists of people from all over the UK and Ireland and other nations across Europe and around the globe who live here as there's over 300 languages spoken in London. (Polish is the second most spoken language in England, and London is the sixth largest French speaking city in the world due to the 400,000 French people living here... and sometimes London is dubbed as 'Londongrad' due to the large amount of Russian billionaires living here... and I have a large Irish community living close to me, and we also have plenty of Aussies, Kiwis, Americans, etc, living here too... so in a single day in LDN, I hear accents from all over the world here.)

Also one doesn't need to travel far in any of the nations in the U.K. to hear a different accent as they change a lot, even within large cities such as London and its variety of accents.... and the surrounding Home Counties.... and the accents vary a lot depending on a person's class and social upbringing. (Accent is the biggest giveaway of a person's social status and class in the UK and people subconsciously judge people's class here based on their accent.)

I personally have a weakness for Lancastrian and Mancunian accents... they make my heart melt. I've had several northern English bf's (from Lancashire and 1 Geordie) and their accents melted me. I'm not keen much on Scouser and Brummie accents though. Cockney accents sound rough and intimidating to a lot of people here.... and kind of cocky.... they're stereotyped with gangsters due to the centuries of history of gangsters and crimes in the poorer east end of London.

I like soft and neutral southern RP accents here, and I'm okay with West Country as they remind me of home.... despite the stereotypes with farmers and pirates.

As for Scottish and Irish accents... it depends, as there's a variety of different accents amongst them. I like some of them, but not all of them.

The only really bad sounding English accent is some of the accents around Darby, a lot of the men sound kinda like the Valley girl accent I mentioned, they tend to carry out words too far, makes it sound effeminate.
